John and Bridge Lushington,
Kent House,
Barrington. We warmly welcome you to our family home for an unforgettable visit to Somerset.
Kent House was originally a small 18th Century farmhouse with a detached barn, built with local Barrington stone.
In 1999 it was lovingly improved and extended to form the present attractive house and gardens.
The unusual garden, on a north-facing slope, was designed and (with help) created by John in the year 2000. In the three acre field and orchard over sixty new trees were planted and a new water garden was also created.
A series of pathways take you up up to see the panoramic views. You are very welcome to take a stroll - before breakfast?
We are a non-smoking household and we ask our guests to respect this.
We have dogs and so we are unable to accommodate visitors' dogs in the house.
